The Immigration and Ethnic History Society presents its Lifetime Achievement Award on occasion for exemplary work in the field of immigration and ethnic history.

Distinguished Service Award

The President shall on occasion consult with past or present officers of the Immigration and Ethnic History Society and others appropriate to designate Distinguished Service Awards to for those who served the IEHS or the field of immigration and ethnic history. (This award was collapsed into the Lifetime Achievement Award starting in 2020)
