Building A Network of Supporters

This event, sponsored by the IEHS Graduate Student and Early Career Affairs Committee, is designed to support graduate students, early-career historians, and independent historians studying North American immigration and ethnicity.

Participants will be organized into breakout groups of six or seven people led by historians with relevant expertise,  Katherine Carper, Laura Gutiérrez, Felipe Hinojosa, Michael Jin, Maddalena Marinari, Yael Schachter, Hidetaka Hirota and Ida Yalzadeh. Ask your most pressing academic and career questions and meet peers with similar research interests.

To help us determine the breakout groups, we ask participants to indicate the topics they would like to discuss after registering for the event.

Please note that registration will end on September 19, 2025 and will be limited to forty people.
