The Journal of American Ethnic History is changing platforms for current content.

Feb 3, 2022 | Announcements, News

Our publisher, the University of Illinois Press, has contracted with the Scholarly Publishing Collective to host the most recent issues. Older issues on a three-year moving wall will still be available on JSTOR. Members can go to https://order.press.uillinois.edu/jaeh/access.html to access all issues of JAEH. Check out the Winter 2022 issue on the SPC platform to see the features the new platform offers. To promote the move, content will be available for free to all viewers through 28 February 2022, and then full content will only be available to subscribers after that.

As of March 1, 2022, members will have the following access:

1. Scholarly Publishing Collective – 1999 through 2022.
New issues (2022 forward) will be added to the platform as they are published and will reside there indefinitely.

2. JSTOR – 1981 through 2019. The “moving wall” is at work here, with JSTOR providing all but the most recent three years of content. Issues will be added to this platform as time passes (i.e. 2022 issues will post in 2025). The 2019-2021 issues that appear on JSTOR right now will continue to be available there through the end of JSTOR’s grace period on February 28. After that date they will become hidden until the moving wall passes.
